This infographic was a personal project designed to provide information about the global issue of a contaminated water. The reason for this project was the curiosity about the global issues, that mostly 3rd world countries face, and bringing awareness to others on how they can help. Coming from Russia and having experienced a lack of clean water and water contamination problems a few times, especially in smaller cities, was always a great reminder of how lucky we are in the US to be having access to clean drinking water. The design approach taken for this project is simple as usual. The goal was to keep the design visual as minimal as possible and still make sure it communicates all the information and in this case brings an awareness. The color palette is simple, brown represents contamination, light blue/blue green represents water, and a touch of red to emphasize on the important facts. The body text typeface is a san serif (helvetica), easily readable and goes well with clean minimalistic compositions.
